On July 21, the large-scale development of the forestry industry in Qiubei County, Yunnan, along with the wood-processing and smart-warehousing project, officially commenced operations.

Located in the Ganbazhai area of the Qunbei County Industrial Park, this project serves as a core demonstration initiative for green and low‑carbon development in the regional forestry sector. The planned site covers 200 mu, with a total investment of RMB 1.03 billion. Of this, RMB 30 million in fixed assets will be allocated to constructing standardized production workshops and intelligent warehousing yards, and to acquiring a complete suite of automated wood‑processing and digital‑management equipment. An additional RMB 700 million in dedicated funds will support circular‑economy industries, including forest‑resource cultivation and the under‑forest cultivation of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs.

Upon reaching full production capacity, the project will have an annual wood-processing capacity of up to 1 million cubic meters, with its core business focusing on dimension lumber for construction. Packaging board Its products, including wood and furniture substrates, serve markets in Wenshan, Honghe, Qujing, and the neighboring regions of Guangxi and Guizhou.

This project is jointly developed by Xiamen Jianfa Group, the Yunnan Yongguan Wood Industry Consortium, and Yunnan Qingqiu Forestry Products Technology Co., Ltd. Upon full-scale operation, the timber-processing segment is expected to generate annual revenues of RMB 1 billion, while the under-forest circular-economy segment will contribute RMB 2 billion annually. The initiative will directly create 400 to 500 local jobs, steadily boost village‑level collective incomes and forest‑farmers’ earnings, and inject strong momentum into Qiubei County’s green, sustainable, and high‑quality forestry development.
