From November 2 to 8, the specialized training workshop on Linyi City's high-end board and green smart home furniture industry chain was successfully held. Organized jointly by the Organization Department of the Linyi Municipal Party Committee and the city's dedicated task force for the high-end board and green smart home furniture industry chain, with South China Agricultural University serving as the承办单位 (hosting institution). Zhou Maoyong, Party Secretary and Director of the Municipal Forestry Bureau, presided over and participated in the related learning activities. Attendees included representatives from relevant municipal departments, members of the industry chain task force, county-level industry chain task forces, and leading enterprises.

The training program invited seven expert professors, including Yangtze River Scholars, distinguished professors, national-level technical experts, provincial association chairpersons, and renowned national ideological and political education specialists, to deliver lectures on cutting-edge biomass materials and home furnishing innovation, industry development trends in the home sector, the integration of industry, academia, and research, and industrial design. These sessions enabled participants to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of both the macro trends and micro strategies driving industry growth. Additionally, the program organized field visits to leading companies across Guangdong and even nationwide, including Sofia—China’s first publicly listed company in the custom wardrobe industry; Kaimo Home Furnishings, one of China’s top 10 furniture brands; Nanxing Equipment, the country’s pioneering publicly listed enterprise in the woodworking machinery sector; Hanco Group, China’s leading player in functional hardware; and Lufu Palace, the nation’s first home furnishing retail complex recognized as a “National AAAA-Level Tourist Attraction.” Participants had the unique opportunity to observe firsthand the precision and efficiency of digital production lines, experience the seamless collaboration within supply chains, and directly learn about advanced manufacturing models and management principles. This hands-on approach significantly enhanced the learning experience, making it more interactive, engaging, and impactful.

This training session provided valuable learning opportunities for key players in the industrial chain and leading entrepreneurs, serving as a bridge for industry exchange and collaboration between Shandong and Guangdong. Participants not only broadened their perspectives and liberated their thinking, gaining insights into new trends and emerging opportunities in industrial development, but also enhanced their professional expertise, strengthening their ability and confidence to support industrial growth and elevate corporate management practices.
