The hum of machinery fills the air as workers bustle about… On May 3, the construction site for the Zhong County project to build a new-type OSB board facility with an annual capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters was abuzz with activity.

The 1.2-million-cubic-meter-per-year new-type OSB project is one of the key projects under Chongqing’s 14th Five-Year Plan, located in the Wuyang Cluster of the Chongqing County Industrial Park. The project covers approximately 860 mu of land and will be developed in two phases. Phase I spans about 496 mu, with approximately 160,000 square meters of factory buildings constructed, and a designed annual production capacity of 500,000 cubic meters of board products. Phase II covers about 364 mu, with roughly 80,000 square meters of factory space built, and a designed annual production capacity of 700,000 cubic meters of board products.

Since the beginning of this year, the project owner has mobilized a robust workforce to carry out round-the-clock construction, vigorously advancing the foundation works for Buildings A and B on Plot No. 1. Currently, Building A on Plot No. 1 has entered the main structural framework construction phase, with some production equipment already delivered to the site. The first phase of the first stage is scheduled for completion in August this year, which will inject strong momentum into upgrading Zhong County’s industrial structure and supporting the development of a “hundred-billion-yuan industrial sector.”
