"Refining" high-performance building materials from traditional metallurgical waste slag. Recently, the "mineral wool inorganic fiber density board" project independently developed by Jiaocheng Yi Wang Ferroalloy Co., Ltd. density board This project, based on hot mineral slag fiberization technology, has opened up a new path for the resource utilization of industrial solid waste and has been unanimously recognized by industry experts, marking another major breakthrough for the company in its transformation from traditional smelting to green manufacturing.

Different from traditional fiberboard manufacturing processes, mineral wool inorganic fiber density board abandons the cold material melting process, not only significantly saving energy consumption and reducing carbon emissions, but also avoiding the environmental burden brought by secondary heating, integrating green and environmental protection concepts from the source of manufacturing. In terms of technology integration, the project team has overcome a number of key core technologies, including low-melting-point wide-temperature-range liquid mineral slag refining inorganic fiber technology, two-stage progressive opening and dissociation technology, silane coupling agent interface modification technology, solid uniform sizing and inorganic paving technology, and continuous flat pressing and forming technology for slabs, forming a full-process independent innovation process system.

The product itself also exhibits excellent physical and environmental performance: the fire rating reaches national A2 level (non-combustible material), it is significantly water-resistant, mildew-resistant, and insect-proof, and has excellent processing performance, combining the toughness and cuttability of wood panels. Verified by authoritative testing institutions, harmful substances such as formaldehyde and benzene were not detected, and the radioactive safety indicators are better than national standards, making it a truly green, environmentally friendly, and safe new type of sheet material. The advent of this product effectively fills the gap in the field of mineral slag-based inorganic fiber sheet materials in China and also has strong competitiveness in the international market.

In September 2024, the company's first fully automatic production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons of mineral wool inorganic fiber density board was completed and put into production in Jiaocheng, Shanxi. This production line directly converts the heat energy and physical form of mineral slag during the smelting process into raw materials for board making, realizing the on-site consumption and utilization of metallurgical by-products. With modern intelligent equipment and quality control systems, a circular economy production chain covering the entire cycle of "raw materials-manufacturing-application" is formed. This practice not only significantly improves the utilization rate of mineral slag resources, achieving "complete utilization" of solid waste, but also promotes the full recovery and reuse of heat energy, allowing the green manufacturing concept of "zero emission" and "near-zero energy consumption" to be truly implemented.

Chairman Song Jinle said that the launch of this product is a landmark achievement in the company's transformation to green manufacturing, and it also opens a new channel for the company to the building materials market.
