During the symposium, Rong County reported on the development of its eco-wood panel industry. Representatives from several leading enterprises—including Guangxi Gaolin Forestry Co., Ltd., Guangxi Rongxian Innovation High Wood Industry Co., Ltd., Rongxian Runda Furniture Co., Ltd., Rongxian Linfeng Plywood Factory, Guangxi Rongxian Huayang Home Furnishings Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Shengchen Wood Industry Co., Ltd.—spoke in turn to share their companies' growth stories, exchange insights and strategies, and offer valuable suggestions and recommendations. Zhang Huiqiang attentively listened to the entrepreneurs' remarks, engaging in frequent interactive discussions with them. He urged relevant departments to carefully review the issues and feedback raised by the participants, promptly formulate targeted measures, and effectively assist enterprises in overcoming practical challenges.

Zhang Huiqiang emphasized that Rong County must stay committed to its goal of "breaking the 10-billion mark and striving for a place among the top 100 counties," making the expansion and strengthening of county-level industry the primary driver for boosting the local economy. Specifically, the county should prioritize ecological wood-based panels as the flagship industry capable of driving the region beyond the 10-billion-yuan milestone, thereby fostering a development model characterized by "one dominant industry with multiple supporting sectors." At the same time, Rong County should embrace "comprehensive regional development" to unlock economic vitality at both town and village levels, continuously elevating the county's overall economic growth and aiming to become one of the top 100 counties in western China. To achieve this vision, the county must emphasize the concept of "concentration"—focusing resources and efforts squarely on the ecological wood-based panel industry. By aligning resources and capabilities toward this key sector, Rong County can build consensus and rally collective strength, transforming what was once considered a "small-scale timber industry" into a thriving "major industrial sector." Additionally, the county must prioritize "transformation," advocating for high-end, intelligent, and green development approaches. It should vigorously promote industrial upgrading and transformation, encouraging enterprises to embrace digitalization and innovation. By extending and optimizing the industrial chain through process and product innovations, Rong County can enhance production efficiency, improve product quality, and ultimately strengthen the competitiveness and added value of its products. Furthermore, Rong County must highlight the importance of "innovation," breaking new ground in areas such as advanced materials, emerging markets, and untapped industries. Leveraging its strong ties with overseas Chinese communities ("Qiaopai") and effectively utilizing their expertise and networks, the county should actively explore international markets, enabling Rong County's wood-based panels and furniture to reach global consumers. Finally, Rong County must remain agile and adaptable, closely monitoring industry trends while firmly adhering to the principles of sustainable and green development. By proactively shifting toward green wood-based panels and industrial-grade boards, the county can steadily increase the "green content" and "value-added content" of its industries, ensuring long-term sustainability and resilience. Meanwhile, relevant departments at both city and county levels must work together to address existing weaknesses, bolster support systems, and optimize service delivery. They should implement three regular mechanisms designed to serve enterprises: government-finance-enterprise matchmaking, production-marketing alignment, and comprehensive resource assurance. These initiatives will provide businesses with all-around, round-the-clock, and full-lifecycle support, helping the ecological wood-based panel industry undergo transformative upgrades and achieve sustained growth and success.
