In March 2026, Knauf, a global leader in wood-based panel manufacturing, officially launched a major €300 million investment project to build a state-of-the-art facility in Italy. Particleboard The production base is now fully under construction.
The facility is located in San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy, with a planned annual production capacity of 800,000 cubic meters and an annual wood-feedstock consumption of 400,000 metric tons, primarily using recycled wood as the raw material. The project also includes the concurrent construction of a combined heat-and-power plant that integrates biomass and natural-gas power-generation technologies, ensuring robust production capacity while meeting green, low-carbon, and environmentally sustainable development requirements.
