Under the guidance of the “Dual Carbon” strategy and amid a wave of industrial upgrading, Hunan Jijia New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has an annual production capacity of 300,000 cubic meters of reed. Particleboard The construction project is being rapidly advanced in Yuanjiang City. Once completed and put into operation, the project will not only solve the challenge of effectively utilizing reed resources in the Dongting Lake region but also fill the gap in the local high-end eco-friendly board industry, thereby becoming a new driving force for our city’s circular economy development.

Stepping into the construction site, we’re greeted by the roar of machinery and a vibrant, bustling scene of active construction. Construction workers are busily engaged in tasks such as excavating foundation trenches. The project’s main components include sub-projects like plant area engineering, reed particleboard production, heating supply, and water supply systems. Currently, the underground portion of the thermal energy center’s equipment foundation has been fully completed. According to the plan, by mid-March 2026, the foundation work for the main workshop building will be finished, and steel structures will begin arriving on site. By mid-April, equipment will gradually start being delivered, and we anticipate producing the first batch of reed particleboard by year-end. Subsequently, Phase II—a production line with a capacity of 200,000 cubic meters—and Phase III will also be constructed. Veneer panel The production line extends the entire industrial chain, helping Yuanjiang become a base for high-end, eco-friendly board manufacturing.

Ma Zhengxing, the civil engineer for the Jijia board construction project, told reporters: “The underground portion of the thermal energy center’s equipment foundation has now been completed, and the pile foundation has also been finished. The next step on our schedule is to begin construction of the main workshop.”

As a key project for the resourceful utilization of reed resources in the Dongting Lake region, this initiative leverages the area’s abundant reed resources and employs internationally advanced continuous flat-pressure technology along with formaldehyde-free adhesives to produce high-end, eco-friendly particleboard. Upon completion, the project will annually consume large quantities of reed raw materials, effectively conserving timber and addressing the issues of water pollution and marshland expansion caused by the abandonment of harvested reeds.

From reeds discarded from the lake region to high-end, eco-friendly boards, the Jijia New Materials project has not only achieved resource recycling but has also forged a development path that simultaneously delivers both ecological and economic benefits, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality economic growth of Yuanjiang.
