Although export orders declined, logging, production and domestic orders all showed a positive trend. In February, the GTI of Mexico (47.8%), the Republic of the Congo (45.6%), China (44.1%), Brazil (43.2%), Gabon (34.7%) and Malaysia (20.6%) were all below the threshold of 50%, which means that the timber industry of these countries is in a downward trend on the whole. However, compared with January, the GTI of all these countries rose in February, indicating that the downward trend is easing.
