At the Shandong Heyang Wood Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Heyang Wood Industry") wood industry park in Perak, Malaysia, container trucks loaded with environmentally friendly particleboard are ready to be shipped to home furnishing markets in Vietnam and the Middle East. "Putting eggs in different baskets to enhance risk resistance is not a multiple-choice question, but a must-answer question." In an interview, Teng Yue, general manager of Shandong Heyang Wood Industry Co., Ltd., gave a resounding answer. particleboard As one of the representative enterprises in China's wood industry transformation and upgrading, Heyang Wood Industry focuses on the research, development, production, and sales of environmentally friendly panels.
In 2010, Teng Yue shipped the first batch of particleboard worth 3 million yuan to Malaysia. At that time, he may not have anticipated that this attempt to enter the Southeast Asian timber trade would become the beginning of his deep cultivation of the Southeast Asian market.
Teng Yue once calculated a real account in the raw material storage yard of the Malaysian industrial park: After setting up a factory in Malaysia, relying on technological and management advantages, the raw material procurement cost is 30% lower than that of local enterprises, and the output is more than double, with significant competitive advantages. "More importantly, we are closer to the end market, and customer stickiness is also stronger."

Combining Malaysia's abundant timber resources and Linyi's mature and complete wood industry chain advantages, Heyang Wood Industry built a full-process industrial park in Yili County, Perak in 2019, integrating forest development, sawing, drying, veneer processing, and particleboard production. Today, its annual profit contribution accounts for one-fourth of the group's total revenue. Teng Yue believes this is a restructuring and optimization of the industrial chain and supply chain.
veneer The Southeast Asian layout of Shandong's foreign trade enterprises is inseparable from policy support. In March 2025, the Linyi municipal government organized 52 wood industry enterprises to participate in an exhibition in Malaysia, winning orders worth 192 million yuan in four days. Teng Yue still remembers this experience vividly: "The scene was very shocking. This 'government-enterprise linkage' model gave us enterprises a reassurance for 'going global.'" What excited him even more was that through this exhibition, Heyang Wood Industry reached a cooperation intention with a well-known listed company in Malaysia.
"The other party provides ready-made factories, sites, and more than 10,000 acres of precious forest resources," Teng Yue explained. "We will export a mature management system, advanced environmentally friendly panel production technology, and Chinese market channels. In the future, we plan to jointly build a larger wood industry park to attract more small and medium-sized enterprises from both China and Malaysia to join."

“对方提供现成的工厂、场地及1万多英亩宝贵的森林资源,”滕越解释道,“我们则输出成熟的管理体系、先进的环保板材生产技术以及中国市场渠道,未来我们计划共建一个更大的木业产业园区,吸引更多中马两国的中小企业入驻。”
